Social Media Manager

  • On-site
    • Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands
  • Growth

Job description

We hate social media. We love studying people.

Trigger isn’t a scheduler and it doesn’t generate content. The world has enough of those. Trigger is a computational creativity layer.

We study context and human behavior to explain why content works, predict how it will perform, and recommend what to publish next - improving social performance by understanding people, not by posting more.

Trigger is backed by Builders (AI-native venture studio) and is in an early validation stage with paying design partners.

About Trigger

Creativity today is evaluated by vibes, intuition, and vanity metrics. We believe it can be understood, modeled, and improved.

Trigger ingests multimodal creative assets (video, image, text) and performance signals, then uses contextual analytics and behavioral frameworks to:

  • decode and cluster content

  • label creative patterns

  • explain performance outcomes

  • support better creative decisions

Our behavioral framework is built on 10+ years of content analysis, used to take multiple companies from 0 to 1M+ followers, and is currently validated with social-first companies averaging 500k+ followers.

There is strong demand (1,000+ companies on the waiting list). The bottleneck is distribution that actually reflects how people think.

The role

You will work and share knowledge with the Founder, Federico, who has a background of 10+ years of building social presence from 0 to 1M+. We’re hiring a Social Media Manager to own and operate Trigger’s presence on Instagram and LinkedIn. This is not a scheduling role. This is not “just posting”.

You’ll translate deep thinking about behavior, creativity, and performance into content that earns attention, builds trust, and attracts the right people - founders, strategists, creatives, and operators who get it.

What you'll do

  • Own Trigger’s Instagram and LinkedIn presence end-to-end

  • Turn insights, frameworks, and product thinking into clear, compelling content

  • Develop and evolve Trigger’s voice, narrative, and visual direction

  • Create and ship content consistently (posts, carousels, short-form video, experiments)

  • Track performance and iterate based on meaningful signals (not vanity metrics)

  • Spot patterns in what resonates and feed them back into product and positioning

  • Help make Trigger feel inevitable to the people it’s built for

Job requirements

What we're looking for

  • You’ve managed and grown social accounts with a clear point of view

  • You can write sharp copy that doesn’t sound like LinkedIn sludge

  • Strong instinct for storytelling, framing, and narrative tension

  • You understand Instagram and LinkedIn deeply (formats, behavior, distribution mechanics)

  • You think in systems and patterns, not isolated posts

  • Comfortable working with founders and early-stage ambiguity

  • Bias to shipping, learning, and owning outcomes

  • University degree in Social Psychology, Cognitive Science, or related studies is a strong plus

Founding track

This is an early, high-ownership role. As Trigger grows, this role can evolve into Head of Content / Head of Social / Narrative Lead - depending on where your strengths compound. We don’t do inflated titles. We do real responsibility.

Indicative scope

  • Channels: Instagram, LinkedIn

  • Formats: carousels, short-form video, visual frameworks, essays-in-disguise

  • Tools: Figma, Notion, native platform tools (stack is flexible)

Compensation

  • Competitive salary (based on experience)

  • Latest MacBook Pro

  • Monthly travel reimbursement

Hiring process

Fast and focused:

  1. Personality & values conversation

  2. Portfolio / content deep dive

  3. Ownership & taste discussion

If there’s a fit, you’ll work with us hands-on to ship real content. No hypotheticals. We build in public.
