Job description
Why this role exists
At Cortena, we're building the AI execution layer for finance operations in SMEs. We have paying clients, real workflows running in production, and a product that is evolving fast — which means there is always something worth telling the market about, and never enough hands to tell it well.
Reach today is fragmented. Outreach lives in one tool, social in another, newsletters somewhere else, events in someone's calendar. Each channel works in isolation, but the story across them is inconsistent and a lot of it runs manually. Your job is to make our growth engine run — automate the repetitive outreach, keep our channels alive with content people actually want to read, and turn our events and partnerships into reach we can compound.
You bridge creative (what we say and how it looks) and systems (how it gets sent, tracked, and repeated). You will work directly with our founding team, own real channels from day one, and have your work in front of clients, investors, and partners every week.
This is not a content-calendar-filling role. You will have real ownership from day one.
What you will do
Outreach & automation (core)
Own outbound systems: set up and maintain outreach automations (sequences, enrichment, follow-ups) so the right people hear from us without manual sending every time.
Keep the pipeline clean: manage lists, segments, and CRM hygiene so campaigns target the right audience and we can actually measure what works.
Build repeatable flows: wire up tools (automation platforms, AI, CRM) so a campaign or sequence can be relaunched in minutes, not rebuilt from scratch.
Measure and iterate: track open / reply / conversion rates, flag what's underperforming, and improve copy and targeting based on real numbers.
Content & awareness
Plan and produce social and awareness content across LinkedIn and Instagram — written for each platform, not copy-pasted between them.
Write and ship our newsletter: shape the angle, draft it, keep it on a rhythm people can rely on.
Repurpose existing material (talks, podcast episodes, event recaps) into multiple formats so one piece of work earns reach many times.
Keep our brand voice consistent and recognizable across everything that goes out.
Events, webinars & partnerships
Help plan and run partnership events and webinars — from concept and guest outreach to promotion and follow-up.
Coordinate with partners and co-hosts so joint formats actually happen and both sides get reach out of them.
Turn every event into content: recaps, clips, posts, and follow-up sequences that keep the momentum after the room empties.
Track what each format returns (signups, attendance, leads) and feed that back into what we run next.
Job requirements
What we are looking for
Must-have
Genuine interest in growth, brand, and how startups get attention — you follow what good companies do and have opinions about it.
A creative eye and a strong pen: you can write copy that sounds like a person and make things look intentional.
Comfort with automation and AI tools — you reach for them to remove repetitive work, and you understand their limits.
Organized and self-driven: you can run multiple channels and a couple of events at once without dropping threads.
Detail-oriented — you notice when something is off-brand, off-tone, or off-schedule, and you fix it.
Full ownership mindset: you treat the goals you're given as yours to deliver, figure out the path without waiting for direction, and see them through to a real result.
German language skills.
Nice to have
Hands-on experience with outreach / automation tools (Lemlist, Instantly, Clay, n8n, Zapier, HubSpot, or similar).
Basic design ability (Figma, Claude Design) and comfort editing short video / clips.
Experience running a newsletter, community, or event series of your own.
What you will get
Direct exposure to founding-team decision making at an early-stage AI startup
A front-row seat to how an AI finance product is taken to market
Hands-on experience with real outreach, content, and event systems — not theory
