Digital Creative Designer Internship
- On-site
- Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands

Job description
We hate social media. We love studying people.
Trigger isn’t a scheduler and it doesn’t generate content. The world has enough of those. Trigger is a computational creativity layer.
We study context and human behavior to explain why content works, predict how it will perform, and recommend what to publish next improving social performance by understanding people, not by posting more.
Trigger is backed by Builders (AI-native venture studio) and is currently in open beta
About Trigger
Creativity today is evaluated through vibes, intuition, and vanity metrics. We believe it can be understood, modeled, and improved.
Trigger ingests multimodal creative assets (video, image, text) and performance signals, then uses contextual analytics and behavioral frameworks to:
decode and cluster content
label creative patterns
explain performance outcomes
support better creative decisions
Our behavioral framework is built on 10+ years of content analysis, used to help multiple companies grow from 0 to 1M+ followers, and is currently validated with social-first companies averaging 500k+ followers.
There is already strong demand (1,000+ companies on the waiting list).
The role
We’re looking for a Digital Creative Design Intern to help us share to the world how we fascinating human behavior is.
You’ll work directly with the Brand team and define visual directions (both static and dynamic), experimenting with formats, and building a distinct aesthetic around the brand.
This is NOT a corporate design internship:
we are not looking for ultra polished agency-style productions, overdesigned carousels, or “perfect” content. We care much more about grainy dreamlike atmosphere, identity, experimentation, and human feeling.
You’ll work closely with the founding team and be involved in real creative decisions, real publishing, and real feedback loops. You won’t just assist, you’ll ship.
What you'll do
Create visual content for Trigger’s media channels
Help shape Trigger’s visual language and brand identity
Design carousels, visuals, motion assets, and short-form videos
Work on video editing, storytelling, and creative direction
Experiment with new content formats and aesthetics
Contribute to brand guidelines and visual systems
Translate ideas, frameworks, and concepts into visual narratives
Learn how creative decisions influence audience behavior and resonance
This is a learning role, but the output is real and public.
Job requirements
What we're looking for
You actively experiment with content, videos, graphics, edits, photography, or experimental visuals
You enjoy making things feel human, atmospheric, and emotionally resonant
You enjoy meditative, dreamlike poetic art that emphasizes slow pacing, extremely long takes, and profound philosophical or existential themes
You’re eager to learn fast and take feedback seriously
You can start working with us tomorrow
Cognitive Psychology and Philosophy background/interest is a strong plus
You do not need years of experience.
We care more about taste, curiosity, visual sensitivity, and creative instinct than polished portfolios.
Internship conditions
Duration: minimum 6 months
Commitment: full-time only (not suited if you’re still studying)
Monthly Compensation: 400€ to 800€
Travel allowance: 250€
Location: Rotterdam, 2 min walk from Central Station.
Growth path
We want to promote you asap. This is an early startup role. As Trigger grows, this role can evolve into Creative Designer, Brand Designer, Art Director, Content Creative, or other creative leadership paths depending on where your strengths compound.
We don’t care much about titles.
We care about people who make things that feel alive.
Application
To apply, send us:
3 pieces of work/content/designs/videos you’re genuinely proud of
A short explanation of why you made them or why they matter to you
We care less about performance metrics and more about creative thinking, intention, and taste.
Hiring process, simple and human
Intro & motivation chat
Design assessment
Creative fit & growth conversation
If there’s a fit, you’ll join us and start building.
We don’t do “shadowing”.
We make things.
